The Economic Forum is an annual international meeting of economic and political elites held in the first half of September in the ski and spa resort of Karpacz in southwestern Poland.
This year’s Economic Forum, which ran from September 6 to 8, featured more than 400 panel discussions on security, energy and international politics under the theme “Europe in light of new challenges.”
Participants answered the question of how to respond to unpredictable situations, such as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and what cooperation between the private sector and international institutions should look like. Panelists included SIPRI Director Dan Smith and former UK Defense Minister Michael Fallon.
